About the Cell
The National Institute of Hydrology (NIH) has established a dedicated Training Cell to foster and enhance capacity-building initiatives within the Institute and its seven regional centers located in Jammu, Patna, Guwahati, Bhopal, Belagavi, Kakinada, and Jodhpur. This Training Cell is designed to streamline and optimize the training-related activities across these centers, ensuring high-quality training experiences that are beneficial for both participants and the Institute.
The primary objective of the Training Cell is to elevate the standards of hydrological education and practice by coordinating comprehensive training, technology transfer activities and capacity-building programs. By centralizing the processes involved in training—such as approval, registration, feedback collection, distribution of study materials, and budget management—the Cell aims to provide a seamless experience for both coordinators and participants. Additionally, it maintains and updates a training calendar to keep stakeholders informed about upcoming sessions and facilitates outreach efforts to ensure widespread participation.
