LIST OF RECENT ACTIVITIES ORGANISED BY DRC, NIH, KAKINADA

1. On 26th June, 2024, a Mass Awareness Activity Programme on the topic titled "Climate Change Impact on Hydrological Processes" was conducted at P.R. Govt. Degree College, Kakinada.
2. Swachhata activities were carried out at RC-Kakinada office premises on 22nd August, 2024.
3. Dr. V.S. Jayakanthan, Sc-F, delivered a talk on ‘Remote Sensing and its Role in Reservoir Sedimentation Studies’ towards celebrating National Space Day-2024 on 23rd August, 2024 at RC-Kakinada.
4. As part of Swachhata Hi Seva 2024:
   
   1. Plantation activity was conducted on 20th September, 2024 at RR Nagar Park, Kakinada.
   2. In-house cleanliness activity was held on 23rd September, 2024 at RC-Kakinada.
   3. Yoga class was organized on 26th September, 2024 at RC-Kakinada.
5. On 27th September, 2024, a mass awareness programme on 'Measurement of Contaminants in the Drinking Water and its Associated Health Risks' was conducted in association with Kakinada Municipal Corporation at RC-Kakinada.
6. The observance of Vigilance Awareness Week was held from 28th October to 3rd November, 2024 at RC-Kakinada, during which the Integrity Pledge for Citizens and Organizations was taken by all Scientists and Staff of DRC, NIH, Kakinada.
7. An awareness programme on the topic titled “Utility of Remote Sensing Data for Water Resources Management" was conducted on 23rd November, 2024 at Govt. Polytechnic College for Women, Kakinada.
8. On 28th February, 2025, Dr. S.V. Vijaya Kumar, Sc-G, inaugurated Student Project demonstrations and exhibitions on the occasion of National Science Day at ZP High School, Unduru, Kakinada.
9. Dr. S.V. Vijaya Kumar, Sc-G, delivered an invited talk on 'Hydrology and Water Resources Planning' for B.Tech students on 20th February, 2025 at Civil Engineering Dept., Aditya University, Surampalem, Kakinada.
10. On 16th February, 2025, Dr. Y. Siva Prasad, Sc-C, inaugurated the ‘Knowledge Fest-2025’ at Little Buds School, Kakinada.
11. Various Swachhta activities were carried out by RC-Kakinada for the Swachhta Pakwada 2025:
    
    1. Opening of Swachhta Pakwada and Pledge taking on 17th March, 2025 at RC-Kakinada.
    2. Campaign on discarding Single Use Plastic on 18th March, 2025.
    3. Cleaning activities on 20th March, 2025 at Bethul Municipal Corporation School, Kakinada.
    4. Mass Swachhta Pledge on 24th March, 2025 at Mother Theresa High School, Kakinada.
12. On 22nd March, 2025, Dr. S.V. Vijaya Kumar, Sc-G, attended World Water Day Celebrations and presented a talk at Aditya Engineering College, Surampalem, Kakinada.
13. Dr. Y. Siva Prasad, Sc-C, attended World Water Day Celebrations and presented a talk at the Stakeholders Sensitisation Meeting on 22nd March, 2025 at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema District Collectorate, RC-Kakinada.
14. The awareness activity on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav (2^nd Phase) was organized in DRC, Kakinada on 25^th January 2023. Drawing and Essay Writing competitions were held on the topics “Water conservation Methods” and “Conserve Water – Secure Future”, respectively.
15. Organized Vigilance Awareness week at DRC NIH Kakinada on 31^st October 2022 to 6th November 2022
16. Organized the activity on “Water Conservation and security under “Bharat Ka amrut Mahotsav India @75 at MSN charities High School, Kakinada on 13th December 2021
